Superfood Smoothie

Did somebody say… Superfood Smoothies? What else can be said about them? Well, there’s so much to say! After all, this smoothie is SUPER! Superfood Smoothies are a great breakfast replacement if you do not have the time to make a full breakfast like waffles, pancakes or, eggs, then you can simply make this smoothie. And, it’s quick and easy to prepare and blend! Only a few ingredients are needed. So, if you’re running late for work or school, and still want to eat something, then try this smoothie, and out the door, you go!

  • 1 cup 1 raw spinach

  • 1 cup 1 unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/2 cup 1/2 frozen pineapple chunks

  • 2 tablespoons 2 chia seeds

  • 1 teaspoon 1 peanut butter

  • 3 to 4 ice cubes

This Superfood Smoothie will surely keep you full for a good portion of your day. It’s packed with all kinds of nutritious ingredients to give your brain and body just what it needs to get the day started. 

To be quite honest, this is not a sweet smoothie. There’s no sweet taste here. It tastes like vegetables. You can certainly tell you are eating something healthy. So, don’t be disappointed if it tastes a little too earthy for your liking. Just know that your mind and body will thank you for all of the nutrients you are giving to them. 

The texture of this smoothie is also rather thick. This is caused by the peanut butter and frozen pineapples. However, that can easily be adjusted to your liking. Simply, add more liquid. 

To make this Superfood Smoothie, blend 1 cup of spinach, 1 cup of almond milk, ½ cup of frozen pineapple chunks, 2 tablespoons of chia seeds, 1 teaspoon of peanut butter, and 3 to 4 ice cubes.  

For this recipe, if you want to be SUPER healthy, then it is best to use organic chia seeds. Chia seeds are a great source of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. They can be on the expensive side. So, since this recipe only requires a couple of tablespoons, you will be left with a lot! To make good use out of them, try making some chia pudding. It’s delicious! Look up recipes online. Ok, back to this Superfood Smoothie. It’s a beautiful vibrant green color once everything is nicely blended. You can thank the spinach for the hue! There is not much more to say about this smoothie other than that you most certainly should try making it for yourself. It is as easy to put together. Aren’t quick recipes the best?
