Marinated Baked Chicken Drumsticks have never been tastier! These baked chicken drumsticks are marinated for 30 minutes in a homemade easy-to-make dry rub. They are then baked until they are fully cooked all the way through. Although the marinating time for the chicken is brief, it is just enough time to get the job done. This dry rub penetrates the chicken skin so well. The marinade makes the chicken meat juicy and flavorful down to the bone.
To make these Marinated Baked Chicken Drumsticks you will need 6 chicken drumsticks, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon of onion powder, salt and pepper, to taste, 1 teaspoon of olive oil, and Baking spray for the pan.
To get started on cooking these Marinated Baked Chicken Drumsticks, first, season all six drumsticks with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Next, drizzle on olive oil. About 1 teaspoon is all you need. After, place the drumsticks in a bowl and cover with them tightly with foil. Refrigerate the drumsticks for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes of refrigeration, transfer the chicken to a baking-sprayed oven-safe dish. Bake the chicken in the oven at 400°F/200°C for 45 minutes. Once time is up, use a meat thermometer to check that the chicken has reached an internal temperature of at least 165°F. Remove the chicken from the oven and allow it to rest for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Finally, sink your teeth into one and simply enjoy! And, that’s it! The hardest part is the waiting! You have to wait while the chicken is in the refrigerator and while the chicken cooks. What a bummer! Making this is a labor of love, but so worth it. Your house will smell like comfort food. So, it’s a win-win. While you wait to eat, you can smell what’s cooking! The delicious smell of spices and seasoning is sure to waft through your kitchen.
