Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds 4 Granny Smith apples, fully peeled, cored and sliced

  • 3/4 cups 3/4 water

  • 1/2 cup 1/2  brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon 1 cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon 1 lemon juice

Directions

  • Place sliced apples in a pot with water, brown sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to medium. Cover with a lid to cook for 20 minutes. 
  • After 20 minutes, turn off heat and remove the lid. Use a potato masher or blender to mash the apple mixture until you reach your desired texture.
  • Serve warm or cold. Enjoy!

  • Adjust cinnamon to your taste buds.
