So, today, I bring to you this Air Fryer Roast Chicken. Anything made in the air fryer is typically easy. This recipe is just that! I’m all for an easy meal. Aren’t you? If so, then you’ll love this one because it takes very little effort to make. The air fryer does most of the work for you.

So, why roast chicken in the air fryer? Well, I find that there is a major difference between air fryer roast chicken and oven roast chicken. Air fryer roast chicken is always juicier. No matter what tricks and hacks I have tried in the oven, my oven roast chicken never comes out as juicy as it does in the air fryer.

Most likely, you already have a lot of the ingredients needed to make this. You will need One 5 pound whole chicken, 1 teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (or to taste), 1 teaspoon of kosher salt (or to taste), 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1 teaspoon of fresh chopped rosemary.

To make this, first, preheat the air fryer to 350°F/177°C. Next, rub the chicken all over (including the inside cavity) with olive oil, black pepper, salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and fresh chopped rosemary. Place the whole chicken so it is breast-side down in the air fryer basket.

Cook it for 40 minutes. Then, flip the chicken to be breast-side up and cook it for 40 more minutes. Check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for it to be safe to eat. Finally, allow your beautiful Air Fryer Whole Roast Chicken to rest for 10 minutes before serving and enjoying it!

As you can see, making this Air Fryer Whole Roast Chicken is easy! No basting is required. Just flip it once as directed and you will be good to go. Hopefully, you enjoy this juicy and delicious Air Fryer Whole Roast Chicken!
