Air Fryer Turkey Breast

Air Fryer Turkey Breast is presented to you today! Although the major holiday season is over, Turkey breast is still in high demand. Turkey breast never goes out of season! And, it is relatively easy to find at the grocery store. It is great to prepare and cook to use on sandwiches, in a turkey salad, or as your protein for the week.

Now, as you can tell by the name of this recipe, this turkey breast does call for an air fryer. However, If you do not have an air fryer, you can still cook this in the oven. Prepare the turkey breast as directed. Then, roast it in the oven at 375°F for 1 hour and 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Ingredients

  • One One 4 pound boneless turkey breast

  • 1 tablespoon 1 unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 tablespoon 1 fresh Italian herbs, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon 1 kosher salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon 1/2 black pepper

Directions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F/180°C.
  • In a bowl, mix together butter, chopped herbs, salt, and black pepper.
  • Slather mixture all over turkey breast.
  • Place in the air fryer basket skin side down. Cook for 25 minutes. Then, flip and cook for 25 to 30 more minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 165°F.
  • Allow to rest for at least 10 minutes before carving.
  • Serve and Enjoy!

Notes

  • Check the internal temperature (must reach 165°F for 30 second) immediately after the 55 minute mark to ensure you do not dry out the turkey breast. 

Typically it is better and healthier to make your turkey breast yourself as opposed to buying a premade one from the grocery store. Premade turkey breasts tend to be high in their sodium content. When you make your own, you know exactly what you are putting in your body. Your body will surely thank you!
