This dessert is sure to be the apple of your eye! Caramel Dipped Apple Slices are perfect for this season! Apples are a big deal during this time of the year. So, today, we are taking full advantage of that by making these Easy Caramel Dipped Apple Slices. This is a great snack or post-meal dessert to serve. It’s quick to prepare and easy to make.
It would be remiss of me if I didn’t tell you that we are not making our caramel from scratch. Nope! With a little help of just two ingredients, the caramel sauce is created. The ingredients that you need to make this recipe are 1 green apple that is sliced into 8 slices, 10 chewy caramels, and 1 tablespoon of heavy cream.
To make this, first, in a small saucepan over medium heat, melt together the chewy caramels with the heavy cream. Then, dip the apple slices in the caramel mixture. After each dip, lay the slices on a plate lined with parchment paper. Now is the time to add any additions of your choice. Some additions can be nuts or chocolate. Chopped walnuts are my favorite to use, but I decided to keep the caramel apple slices plain for this day. Once all 8 slices have been dipped to your liking, go ahead and place them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes so they can set and harden. Finally, Serve them and Enjoy! Easy as… apple pie?!
After the 30 minutes of chilling time in the refrigerator, take a bite of one so you can taste for yourself just how crisp the apple is and how sweet the caramel is! That mixture of sweet and tart gets my taste buds riled up every time!
These Easy Caramel Dipped Apple Slices are so good that you’re going to want to eat all 8 slices by yourself. And, you know what? It’s perfectly fine if you do! After all, apples are healthy and good for you! A little, or a lot of caramel doesn’t hurt!
