This salmon is pan-seared which makes it so easy to keep your eye on as it cooks. It serves 2 to 3 people and only takes 15 minutes of prep and 10 minutes of cooking time. Think of this salmon as a type of salmon that you would eat at a seafood boil. That might help you know what sides to pair with it. A piece of buttered corn is delightful when paired with this fish dish! Try also serving this salmon with some steamed broccoli or creamed spinach.

Want to know the best part about this dish? Well, just FOUR ingredients are needed to make it! The ingredients that you will need to successfully make this recipe are 2 pounds of salmon, (sliced into filets), 1 ½ teaspoons of old bay seasoning, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and olive oil for the pan.

Now, of course, you can make your own old bay seasoning from scratch. However, that requires a lot of spices that many of us won’t need to use multiple times. It consists of celery seed, dried herbs, nutmeg, ginger, pepper, salt, nutmeg, paprika, cardamom, and a lot of other spices. So, why not just go the easy route and buy it pre-made?

To get started on making this recipe, first, rub the salmon all over with the old bay seasoning and lemon juice. Allow the salmon to rest for 15 minutes. This lets the flavor disperse throughout the fish. Fifteen minutes of marinating are just long enough to help the seasonings and lemon juice fully infuse the salmon. After marinating for 15 minutes, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the marinated salmon for 4 to 5 minutes per side. And, finally, the best part is that you can Serve it and dig in!

Hopefully, you enjoy making this recipe to the fullest. Cooking is fun, however eating is the best part! Enjoy every single bite!
