When it comes to cooking, not many things are more rewarding than being able to make one of your favorite meals from scratch. Making your own sauce benefits you because you know exactly what is going into it in its pure form. You can also make multiple batches at a much cheaper price than buying jars. You can get a boost of confidence when making this because you were involved in the whole Alfredo sauce-making process from the beginning to the end. And, 10 minutes is all it will take you. This all sounds like a winning situation. Oh! And, the fact that only one saucepan is needed to make this recipe should make you leap for joy. Who wants all of those dishes to wash? Certainly not you…or even your dishwasher!

This Alfredo Sauce is easy to whip up to serve a crowd. Simply serve it with pasta. Also, you can eyeball the measurements. This recipe calls for 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese, however, you can use your hand to measure that out if need be. That’s what makes sauce-making so easy, it’s simple to make and gives you a lot of room for creativity.

This recipe makes enough for four servings. It takes about 5 minutes of prep and 10 minutes of cooking time. The few ingredients that you will need to make this recipe are 4 tablespoons of sliced unsalted butter, 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 1 cup of grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.

Trust me when I say that once you make your own Alfredo sauce this way, you will never want to use jarred sauce EVER again. You can certainly taste the difference between jarred sauce and homemade Alfredo sauce. For one, the jarred sauce has preservatives in it to give it a longer shelf life. This homemade recipe does not.

So, when you try this recipe, what do you think? Did you notice that the recipe did not call for any flour? Well, that’s because the heavy whipping cream and grated parmesan cheese work together to thicken the alfredo sauce. Flour can get messy, and it can sometimes be hard to keep it from getting clumpy! That’s why I am so thankful that it is not needed in this recipe.

This Alfredo Sauce will cling to your pasta noodles. You will get a taste of the sauce with each bite that you take. Hopefully, you enjoy making and eating this Alfredo Sauce with your favorite pasta or dish of choice. Happy Sauce-making!
